Directions to Paradise Loft

To find Paradise Loft, head for the Fallen Angel, which is in a quiet area of the city but only a short walk from the Gala theatre, North East mainline railway station and a collection of individual shops and restaurants. 

Durham is a beautiful place in all seasons with its meandering river and tranquil walks. Paradise Loft looks out onto the river .

Durham is two hours forty minutes by mainline train from London, just under two hours from Edinburgh or thirty five minutes drive from Newcastle or Durham airports.The hotel is fifteen minutes walk from Durham railway station.

By Road

Durham is just off the A1 (junction 62), following the A690 into the city centre and then following signs for the Courts, which are further along Old Elvet.  There is on street metred parking opposite the Fallen Angel (80p per hour 8am - 6pm Mon-Sat).

By Rail

There are regular train services from London, York, Berwick, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow (to name but a few).  You can travel all the way from Bournemouth and Penzance without having to change trains too - its nearer than you think!  The railway station is a 15 minute walk or £5 taxi fare away.

By Air

Newcastle and Durham Tees Valley airports are both less than an hour away and there are good transport links to Durham from both, as well as car hire facilities.
